It is WNHS-LP policy to solicit underwriting support from Newcomerstown area businesses. WNHS-LP will not accept underwriters or announcements with potential conflicts of interest, and problems of listener misconceptions will be taken into consideration on a case-by-case basis. WNHS-LP reserves the right to refuse to accept underwriting from companies, businesses, organizations or any other entities deemed to be inconsistent with image of WNHS-LP. Additionally, WNHS-LP may refuse underwriting not of general interest to WNHS-LP listeners, and/or types of support that might be detrimental to the welfare and image of the station.

WNHS-LP will not accept financial support from businesses engaged in labor disputes, or from businesses that engage in discrimination on the basis of race, creed, religion, gender, skin color, sexual orientation, national origin or ancestry, disability, marital status, arrest or conviction record, political affiliation or membership in the armed forces of the United States.
Underwriting messages may not include:

• Comparative, superlative or qualitative language - no "largest", "best", "better", "prompt", "reliable", "dedicated", "economical", etc.
• Mention of price - no interest rates, guarantees, discounts, sales or savings, such as "bonuses available to the first 50 visitors", "a special dessert for those over 65", etc.
• Promotions or calls to action - no "call now", "come on down to", "be sure to", "call us/fax us/ e-mail us at", etc.
• Repetitious verbosity - no repeating of underwriter's name or unnecessary repetition of otherwise identifying information.
