WNHS-LP 105.7 FM, "Newcomerstown's Hometown Station", is a low power nonprofit radio station that has been broadcasting to the Newcomerstown area since the fall of 2003. As an educational station students are responsible for the programming and announcements on the radio. We are proud to offer the students of Newcomerstown Schools this educational opportunity. Students of WNHS are exposed to a wide range of broadcast technologies along with practical experiences in public speaking. Although students of Newcomerstown High School operate WNHS, the radio broadcast is not funded by the Newcomerstown Exempted Village School District. WHNS-LP is funded through grants and the contributions of community underwriters. |
